Health, Nutrition and Climate Change

Climate Smart Agriculture - For the next generation of farmers

One in three children in Zimbabwe suffers from chronic malnutrition and less than one in ten receives the globally defined minimum acceptable diet for their age. We work with primary schools, key community members and women's groups to update traditional farming methods. Climate smart methods can drastically improve crop yields, deliver a more nutritionally rounded diet and protect against the ravages of climate change. Schools can provide nutritional feeding programmes for their students. Surplus crops can be sold to buy more food, books or even computers.
